MotherSun Records is a family owned and operated vendor. Started in the culturally rich Leimert Park community of Los Angeles, our mission since inception has been to create an elevated future space which transports us back to days of Pre-Digital Entertainment all while propelling us to the “what can be” all at once. MotherSun Records as a company is a safe space for intergenerational dialogue, sharing of knowledge and perspective around music, art, and culture. 

We create and hold open a welcoming space for the community of music loving thinkers, designers, visionaries, artists, consumers and musicians to gather and shop, as well as those who are new to music as a culture to learn. “MSR” will be a pre-eminent leader in Vinyl Records Sales as well as a distributor of music/art related merchandise in Los Angeles on a local level, from Leimert Park the world over. MotherSun Records, when activated as a boutique/pop-up is a go-to destination for all things music.

With over 30 years throughout Los Angeles (as a Patron, Business Owner, Performer, Organizer and Show Curators) we have established connections to many of the business leaders and players in throughout the vast community.

MotherSun has played a vital role in the community that extends far beyond selling music. Not only have we functioned as a hub for lovers of Music and Culture, we also offer local musical artists and artisans various avenues to display and/or distribute their crafts.
